The class teacher has decided to keep it in her office instead of having one in both year 3 class rooms so we'll see how that works out. Hopefully I'll get the other three finished and ready to put into schools over the summer holidays. I don't think I can cope with having more dinosaurs than that around the house!
I started rushing this one so it crumpled under its own wight a little. I managed to fix most of it but one of it's feet is a bit bent. No one aside from me seems to be able to tell. The grand plan was to give it a crutch or crutches. I've seen a few children with them at the school and I thought it would be a nice touch. Unfortunately life got in the way and I ran out of time. Plus my youngest daughter was very keen to take it in and show it off. I wasn't so keen on taking on the mile long walk to the school with another heavy dinosaur.
Perhaps it is for the best that the project is moving more slowly than I originally planned or would like as it means I am forced to spend more time thinking it through. Not that I haven't been thinking about this for a long time, it's just that my dreams are far bigger than my resources.
I heard a small boy walk past demanding to know where the dinosaur had gone. I got the bit I was working on finished and hid it in the bushes so he'd see it when he came past again but I didn't hear anything. I'm sure there will be plenty of other creatures as time goes on but clearly dinosaurs are the coolest (apart from dragons obviously).
